It started its commercial operation from 31st December 2021. Since then it has been maintaining consistent growth with innovation & valued services and has become the number one in Bangladesh as well south Asia region. The business activities connected with the hotel business are carried out through a Management Contract executed on 13th December 2012 between Habib Hotel International Ltd. (“the Owning Company”) and Holiday Inn Dhaka City Center (“the Operator”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
The Operator is knowledgeable and experienced in managing and promoting five star hotels and resorts and has (and/or its Affiliates have) been performing such services throughout the globe since long. Another 3 Star standard business hotel named “Hotel de Crystal Crown” by Habib Hotel International Ltd. is at Gulshan.
The company has plan to set-up more hotels of 7-star and 5-star standard in Dhaka and other major cities of the country.
In terms of Management Contract, the Operator is entitled to receive base fee, license fee, incentive fee and institutional marketing fee from the Owning Company on account of operation of the Hotel only. In addition, under the agreement, the Operator is entitled to receive office base fee and office incentive fee from the Owning Company on account of office space rented out in the Hotel premises.
